Rules & Bylaws
League Format Breakdown

-        12 game regular season plus playoffs
-        Teams play division rivals only.  No cross division games
-        Separate playoff brackets for each division
-        All-Star Game Thursday, July 10.  Format TBA – all teams represented
-        All teams qualify for playoffs (Monday/Thursday nights in August)

Game Breakdown
-        Two halves of twenty (20) minutes – stop time format
-        Clock switches to running time with a 10 goal lead.
-        Teams must have 5 skaters to be eligible to play.  Teams will be forced
to use their timeout if there are not enough skaters after the warmup clock
runs out, followed by a forfeit if team is not ready to play.
-        Teams switch side to begin game (close to bench for 2nd half)
-        Teams skate 5 on 5 (not including goalies)
-        Center line offside NO LONGER ENFORCED

Player Breakdown

-        All players must wear the same color jerseys as their team with aa
number on back
-        All player helmets must have a chinstrap  (Player may be removed)
-        All players must have 4 wheels on each skate  (Player may be removed)
-        Any player under 18 must wear a full cage/shield
and mouthpiece as
required by USAHIL.  Players under 18 must also have a “Playing Up”  
form signed by parent/guardian in order to be eligible to play
-        Any non-player who will be standing on the team bench during games  
MUST be registered as a Coach with USA Hockey Inline.

Team Breakdown

-        Teams must have matching colored jerseys with number on back
-        Team benches designated by locker room (5 & 6 = Home, 7 & 8 = Away)
-        Teams on HOME bench are to use center door to enter/exit, Teams on
AWAY bench are to use corner door to enter/exit.
-        Teams are responsible to keep benches and locker room clean.
-        Teams may not step on rink until teams from previous game are off
rink.  Teams are asked to leave rink in a timely manner after their game
-        For insurance purposes kids, parents, or any other non-insured
person(s) are NOT allowed on rink between or during games (warm up,
intermission, etc)

Roster Breakdown
-         Rosters are due at final captain's meeting on April 20
-         Roster max is 17
-         Players may be added to roster (as long as team is under roster max
and added player(s) do not put team over roster max) until the first
day of the season (May 11)
-         Once season starts, teams must request any additions through the
league as an add/drop, which means if an addition is approved, a
current roster player MUST be removed for the season.  Additions
once season starts is at league's discretion and can be denied.
-         Once a team plays 3 games NO adds or drops are allowed unless      
 approved by the league.

Bylaws (League games will be played/refereed according to USAHIL rules)

-        Any player receiving a game misconduct will be unable to play the rest
of the game where the penalty was assessed as well as the team’s next
scheduled game.  Additional games may be added to the suspension
depending on the severity of the infraction as well as suspension
history.

-        Team captains must report to the scorekeeper’s table immediately
following the game where a player was assessed a game misconduct.

-        Fighting:  Any player receiving a fighting major will automatically be
assessed a game misconduct and be suspended for the remainder of
the current game as well as the team’s next scheduled game.
Additional games may be added depending on severity and player
history.  A player receiving a fighting major/game misconduct may be
required to remain in the penalty box until the other player(s) involved
have left the building.  Any player that refuses this request from a
referee is subject to additional games added to any suspension
resulting from the major penalty.   Team captains are responsible for
making sure any removed player leaves the rink in a timely manner.
Players on suspension for fighting may NOT attend team games while
on suspension

-        Instigator:  An instigator penalty is assessed when it is determined
that a fight is deliberately started or instigated by a particular player(s).
An additional 2 game suspension is added to any player who is
assessed an Instigator penalty.  A player who receives 2 instigator
penalties will be suspended for the remainder of the regular season
and playoffs.

-        Flagrant Infraction:  Any player who commits a flagrant penalty with the
intention of injuring another player, on/off floor official, rink personnel,
or spectator will be assessed a major penalty for the infraction
(boarding, slashing, cross-checking, etc) as well as supplemental Flagramt
Infraction penalty, which carries up to an additional 4 game suspension.  A
player who receives a Flagrant Infraction penalty (at any time) will be
permanently expelled from the league.

-        Probation:  A player is placed under probation when repeat infractions
and/or suspensions have been assessed to the player.  If that player   
receives another major penalty for the same infraction he will be
permanently expelled from the league.

Trophies/Awards

-        Trophies are awarded for regular season, all-star game, and playoff
performances.  Award winners are selected by the league for overall
performance in that award's specific category.
