The Soundboard - 8/26
Thanks to everyone for sending their questions in to us.  Even though the
season is almost over, please continue to send your questions and
comments in to us.  We've posted some more questions and answers from
Chris below.
(From Guestbook Submission) - Instead of separating the teams into Divisions 1
and 2, why not align them in an East - West format?

Chris Costello -  That type of format would unfortunately not work in this
league.  You will never know how teams will do year in and year out, so trying
to align divisions equally would be incredibly difficult.  Also, combining all the
teams like that would not be fair to all teams when it comes to playoffs.  The
current format works because it separates the different tiers and gives each
of them their own playoff system.  The goal is to give every team a reasonable
chance of winning, which is definitely much easier said than done.  Thanks
for the suggestion though!

(From Guestbook Submission) Hey Chris you should start the season earlier next
year, because teams lose kids to go back to college in the middle of playoffs.

Chris Costello -  Players going back to college and on vacation definitely
effects teams come playoff time.  Unfortunately we cannot start the season
until the rink puts the Sport Court down, which is not until the middle of May.
We used to start in mid-April, so the later start date puts us almost a month
behind schedule.  Next year we'll see what our earliest start date will be and
try to get the games in as quick as possible.
